Two Week visit to Jeruselam
- Paul was born in Tarsus and studied in Jeruselam
- Paul was told by the high priest of Jeruselam to arrest any man you was a follower of Jesus Christ as he had just been cruixfed and ressurested. On his journey Paul had a vision from Jesus to stop but Paul continued and was blineded for 3 days and didnt eat or drink. Jesus sent a man called Anasis to go to Paul. Jesus told Anasis to repeat to Saul to stop and to follow christ, explaining to him he was a very important man. Acts 9:1-19;
- Three years after his conversion, Paul visited Jeruselam. Once he arrived he tried to become a disicple. The other disciples were frightened as they thought he wasnt a disicple. Barnabas told them how Paul saw the journey to God on his road to Damascus. He moved with them freely and spoke the Lord's name boldly. (Acts 9:26-30).
- Paul had got into a great debate with the Grecian Jews and they tried to kill him. When the other disicples learned this they sent Paul to Cilicia. Paul stayed in that region and Syria as noted by his own writing as shown below in the book of Galatians. He wrote in the bible about his work in Syria (Galatians 1:22-23).

St. Paul's First Missionary Journey
- 1. Over a period of ten years in the middle of the first century, Saint Paul made three major missionary journeys, traveling throughout the Mediterranean region, spreading the Gospel.
- 2. Acts 13 - 14 Length – 2 years 45 - 47 A.D. Approximately 1,235 miles travelled
- 3. The Call to ministry • The Voice of the Lord (Acts 9) Consecration • Training Commendation • No self Appointment
- 4. “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ Then, completing their fasting and prayer, they laid hands on them and sent them off.” (Acts 13:2–3)
- 5. The majority of his journeying was made on foot or by small coastal boat. Travel was very dangerous in Paul’s day.
- 7. Paul, Barnabas, and John Mark begin their first journey from Antioch in Syria. They travel to Cyprus (Barnabas’s home), where Saul begins to use his new name, Paul. In Cyprus, Paul rebukes and blinds Elymas the magician.
- 8. “You son of the devil, you enemy of all that is right, full of every sort of deceit and fraud. Will you not stop twisting the straight paths of [the] Lord? Even now the hand of the Lord is upon you. You will be blind, a
