Kathrine mckee biography

Kathryn McKee is Center Director and McMullan Professor of Southern Studies and Professor of English at the University of Mississippi.  She is co-editor, with Deborah Barker, of American Cinema and the Southern Imaginary, and her articles have appeared in various journals, including American Literature, Legacy, Southern Literary Journal, and Mississippi Quarterly.  She has a PhD in American Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Dr. McKee’s areas of scholarly research include nineteenth-century American literature, the literature and culture of the nineteenth-century U.S. South, writing by women, global south studies, film studies, and humor studies.

Kathy McKee is an actress who accused Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct. Kathy recently (past 4 years) worked in casting on HBO’s 61*, when Billy Crystal was director. The casting department won the Emmy for the show. She also worked in casting on 8 Mile and Hardball, these films all shot in Detroit. She is working on independent films and currently in production for a documentary being filmed in the Detroit titled “The Drum Circle Project” in which she is the producer & casting director. Kathy is continuing to work on the auto-biographical story of her life & years in Hollywood and the many secret affairs she had with well known celebrities, including Sammy Davis Jr. Richard Pryor, Johnny Carson, Cristopher Walker, Demond Wilson, Clifton Davis, and many more.

Kathy hosted the morning talk show Good Morning L.A for over a year with Sandy Barron.
